Fishing with the Homies (Original Demo) DEPRECATED
A downloadable game
This is the initial demo of our game, Fishing With The Homies, made playable at IndieCade Horizons 2022, as a team of students at Miami University.
For the final version, please go to .
Story
You are a fisherman who is just interested in luring in some nice catches. However, you discover there are other things in these waters besides fish. After fishing up different body parts, you realize you can fit them together to build a homunculus to help you catch fish more often. What other kinds of lakes are out there and where do these mysterious parts come from?
This build is only for Windows, for now.

This was fun for what it was. Unfortunately I ran into a game breaking bug in the lakes level that prevented me from building homies... Just wanted to share anyways!
Honestly the game felt strange, with a lot of dialogue. But the game was a lot of fun, the fishing mechanics were entertaining enough that actually fishing was enjoyable for once. Grabbing an undead army of homies to do my fishing was entertaining, especially the moment I opened my inventory to see all I had caught.
There were a lot of bugs. I accidentally jumped to the last level at one point, and some of the missions would not complete - this was mainly on the 3rd lake, with the Pike. Luckily the first bug solved the issue with the second bug.
Had a lot of fun playing the game, and it made a relaxing difference from what I usually play.
